Wow i never knew my engine already had its own thread on here kwel.
I/We went with the Vic Jr. due to the FACT that the fast 90/90 set up would be a bottle neck in the system and NONE of the sheet metal intakes have shown any increase worth more than what a ported fast would do. (dont believe me ask some of the sheet metal intake makers for some flow charts if they will even admit to having any)
After weeks of research and with great information on ls1tech, the Vic Jr. fitted the bill. Although it is a "carb" style intake , it is set up will bungs and fuel rails from Edelbrock. The position of of the intake flang assures a better distrubition of air into the engine instead of just the forcing more air to the rear cyls. All of this information can be research and verified on many of the ls1 sites , but many ls1tech. Price wasnt an issue as the porting was over 2k on the intake alone, in the end we went with what would work best with the air needed to support the turbo /engine.
A smaller combo (408 w/ stock ported 6.0l heads) recently netted 9xx rwhp . This 427 with the etp 255's should be fired up for the first time at the end of november
