There are shops in most towns that specialize in columns. Reason? Because perps steal, and try to steal cars all the time leaving the columns busted. The insurance companies feed these shops that do the work mobile and quick, much cheaper than the dealer can even consider.
So, you can call your auto insurance company and see if they have a list of such shops in your area, and or call you local dealer and other shops to ask.

Now, I have had some experience in the column, but not with a column shift. Is this a column shift issue?
Also, unless you are going for the bone stock look, I have learned from experience that as long as you have a welder, grinder, and a saw you can make other style columns bolt right in there. I put a 1981 Vette titl/tele in my Camaro with minimal mods to make it bolt right in. The junk yard is full of GM tilt columns from all kinds of models. I can also tell you how to make the column mounted wiper switch control your wiper. I think an S10 column would be a good choice to work with.
