I know I am still reading these posts as my goal is to have my car ready next summer for AutoX.

I ran an EVO school on Saturday and finally feel confident with the new setup. If you have any chance of saving it after you go too deep you just point the wheel and roll on the gas. It will pull the car out of a slide and keep the momentum up.
Very fun.
I put another 200 street miles on it and it is pretty much in noticeable. You just have to be very smooth. I think the Lucas 80-90 semisynthetic oil helps as well.
