Slow but steady progress on the car. Today I finished up the welding and grinding on the second frame rail. I used 2x4" 1/8" square tube and cut the bottom and part of the side and reboxed it in with flat 1/8" strap. This let me use 4" instead of 3" and should be just as strong if not stronger than the factory Corvette frame once it's welded into the factory Corvette frame, what's left of the rockers, and the roll cage.



And a test fit with a test piece. Fits like a glove. I'll also still be able to use the factory style door stills too.

And more cutting of the old inner rocker. That's what takes the most time, getting everything cut right as to not mess up the stuff I need to save.
