This has some photos from the 48 hour Camaro. I am not finished with mine but I have trimmed the lip and rolled the edges. You definitely won't be able to reuse the chrome trim but I don't want to.

There are probably others but these give you the idea. I think Dutch Boys posted some fender mod photos on one of their project cars that showed how the inner fender was raised, squared off and modified to clip into the trimmed and rolled lip. I could not find that photo.
