I was in the garage tonight and I think I came up with a pretty good Bracket design to support the weight of the remote filter, that attaches to the fender liner and rad support. The top of the filter would basically sit an 1" above the fender liner and it would be accessible from under the fender liner like in my second pictures. I'm going to mock up a bracket tomorrow and see how it looks.
Short answer is yes. Pretty much the entire contents of the filter capacity will dump out before your able to get it out of the engine bay.
