Thank you so much for the comps. It's fun as heck to open the hood and watch people try to process what they are seeing.

I made up a couple rectangular of sheet metal that connect between the valve covers and the studs on the stock LS valve covers. The beauty of the Pontiac covers is that they are large enough to cover everything nicely. The are aluminum and cut easily with a cut off wheel.


I went with an LS1 that I came across. Changing the cam to one more SC friendly was the only internal mod I made. The driveability is perfectly fine with the SC - I suspect the large intake volume is more of a factor than anything in terms of driveability. Not much happens out of the ordinary until the SC finally fills all the ducting, intercooler and intake, then it takes off like a rocket at about 3,500 RPM. I will probably go with a smaller pulley at some point to reduce the lag time. If I were ordering again, I'd go with the bevel cut SC gears rather than square cut because of the noise it makes.
