I have a couple sets of these, for sbc. My engine builder gave me a set, with my race engines. He had them built, and they were much lower to the ground, than these are. We ran shallow dry sump pans, so the height was perfect for transport, and storage.
Ryan, I am going to build my own for my LS , out of tubing, instead of square stock. Center the engine over the cradle, (feet) and you'll be fine. Angles don't matter, and cross bracing isn't needed. My race engines were cast iron block and head, and didn't have cross bracing. They held up beautifully. Get your height right for your oil pan, and your golden. Make sure the feet are about as wide as the outside of the valve covers. I never had wheels on mine...that would be nice to have.
