Hey CJ,
As Slimjim mentioned, anything outside of standard factory fitment technically must be recorded to the licensing centres, and if outside of their limitations would require and engineering report and/or a modification plate for licensing approval.
Currently my LSA will not pass the new licensing rulings, despite other states allowing it, even with having superior suspensions & brakes doesn't factor in as they've just blanket banned blown LS engines, which means I'll be hanging out for track days (and possibly driving around like a vigilante

There is a movement in place to help us out though, and hopefully they gain some traction, as it's ok to license a 6/71 BBC on Big n Littles that will handle like a boat - but not a finely tuned pro-touring muscle car
