My '17 has both as well. XPEL for the film and CarPro for the coating. It requires a boost application. I do it every other wash. CarPro's version of the boost is called Reload. I used to wash the car, then dry and apply Reload. Now I use the Reload to help dry the car. This works well for me.
As mentioned, you will need paint correction prior to this. My car looked awful right off of the showroom floor until the shop I used (Chicago Auto Pros), got done with it.
It was expensive, but I'd do it again.
If you already have a rigid washing schedule and good technique, you may want to opt out of this. It will save you a few years of waxing and paint correction provided you practice good washing technique's.
