I am considering having my RV ceramic coated. We have a neighbor that has started doing this and has built it into a nice little business already. He mentioned that typical wax coatings will burn off at around 140 degrees and being in Arizona, that means any typical summer day in the sun. His coating is guaranteed for 5 years I believe.

The huge benefit for RVs is the easy to clean aspect. I have a huge fiberglass cap up over the windshield that not only catches all the bugs but I also can just barely reach it standing on a 6' ladder. He claims bugs will basically rinse off once ceramic is applied.

It's about $80 a foot compared to $10 a foot to have it just waxed, so it's pricey...but I'm thinking seriously about doing it.
