The plates are usually like WT1234, WX1234, WV1234, etc. Normal Minnesota plates are ABC-123, so the 'whiskey plates' really stand out. By having the whiskey plates, you agree to allow LEO's to pull you over with no probable cause. It is kind of like a scarlet letter.
