Actually cubes have nothing to do with it at all.
BSFC goes up with power, not cubic inch. It takes a certain amount of fuel to make a certain amount of power. This does change a little when talking the difference between N/A and forced induction because at max power an F.I. motor needs much more fuel added. They typically run at about 11.5:1 AFR versus 13.5 AFR that a N/A motor makes max power at.
