Tracy,
Would you have a pic of the lower arm of your Q-Link attached....My car is getting tubbed right now and i encountered a problem. I Hit the leaf at its front half even with its rear moved in (offset hangers) and it now seems i won't be able to run my leafs (or tires)....i have 14" of tire width, and 13" from outmost part of tire sidewall (measuring in) to the outmost part of the leaf)
Thats a killer as the brakes/ wheels/ brackets/ tubbing/ framing budget is getting thin. I didn't plan to put the suspension in right away (i just sold my LS1 today to make that happen now...Good deal tough, paid 600$ w/ 4L60 and sold for 3k :-)---good, but now Gonna have to run the old school 327 for the season)
Now i need to decide what to run for suspension in order to get some clearance;
I'm really interested in finding out how much clearance you get from the tire to the leaf vs tire to the rod that replaces the leaf (?) The Air Ride guys say i would only gain 1/2" with their systems bar size (care to measure the dia of yours?) It seems like its not much and might not even do the trick. I need the car to be done to eveluate this for sure but its the time thats killing me as Forgeline is running a sale 'till monday and i need to take decisions NOW! If the tires are not going to fit...I'm gonna have to get smaller ones and at that point i might change the whole set up. I'm going thru many toughts and ideas.
I really lean torward the Airbar and their lower arm is same concept as the Q-L, so i tought i would ask. I really love the Q-Link but the ride and ease of install of the bar are appealing to me...Not to mention the drop.
Any help appreciated!
Lead.
Hey, any progress on the car?
