If you take the valve, hook it to a short line of hose and then try to suck/blow through the hose, while tilting the valve....if yours is the same as mine..... you will note that as soon as you tilt it from straight up vertical, even just a little .... it stops functioning. Its pretty sensitive to being tilted at all, which I guess is a good thing if you wreck the car and dont want gas pouring out of it
