When I originally fit the front bumper, it was in bare metal along with the fenders and header panel and everything fit perfect except the grille. I had never done this before so I figured I would trim and sand the grille where needed to make it fit. Then when my body guy came back, he did not want to modify the grille at all because it would weaken it around the edges because the grille is stepped in the back. So we spent countless hours metal working the fenders to make the grille fit perfect. Which it does.
Now came time to fit the front bumper and obviously it did not fit as perfect as it once did. We spent 6 1/2 more hours on the front bumper and only got the drivers side done. It was basically on-off-cut-weld-grind and repeat. We took the grille on and off again 6 times and had the bumper on and off a total of 12 times. I'm sure we will be doing the same for the passenger side.
