I've actually been buying my stainless tubing from
Mc Master Carr. Most local AN fitting places also carry it. For 1/4" (#4) brake line I'd probably get .035" wall thickness. For 1/2" fuel line get the thicker tubing (065") so it doesn't wrinkle when bending.
