Hey folks, at long last after every trial and hardship imaginable, the Chevelle lives and breathes!
It has been a long journey with a lot of setbacks and problems. Plenty of blood, sweat, and tears have gone into it, as with any personal project. But just over a year into our frame-off build that started and ended in our 3 car garage, it's finished. Well, it's complete.
It'll never be finished, finished.
In fact, next step will be a trip back to the body shop. The car is going to SEMA again this year, but this time, the body will be perfect and we will be able to drive it in. As some of you know, the body work done on the car was sub-par and the paint has some flaws, so we will be getting the body and paint straightened out over the summer.
But for now, me and my dad are able to stand back from it and say "there she is. Done."
I'll be giving a better account of how it runs and drives soon, but we are still tuning it a little bit and making sure there are no bugs. But I can say this, it sounds amazing and from the little we've seen, will have plenty of power. My dad lit the tires by just blipping the throttle...so it should be fun!
