I have Grundy via NW Classic Car Insurance, and they have been great. I pay $130 a year for close to $20k full covarage and no milage limits. They know it is a project car and don't care and told me as I build the car and need the policy to increase just to give them a call...not a problem.

I first had State Farm as I do with all my other insurances...but they no longer cover project cars. They didn't cancel my policy but wouldn't increase it over the $3k it started at and that made the wife nervous as this has been quite the money pit!

FWIW, my home policy covers all the parts that aren't bolted to the car, but the body shell isn't covered.

Make sure you get an agreed upon value policy, this wont be a problem with Grundy.
