Sorry to hear about the fire. As the owner of an 01 Expedition, I thought I would respond.
The recall notices were sent out in Nov/ Dec 05 (not 06) and covered through the 02 models. It was Feb 06 before my local dealer notified me that they had the part in stock, and the service advisor installed it on the spot. I haven't had any issues since the harness was installed.
