All I can tell you is this.... I have the ATS mounts using regular small block frame mounts and the stock steering box. Stainless Works headers hit the steering box severely and would have necessitated the 3rd header tube be cut off and custom made to clear. Hooker LS1 headers fit and only slightly touch the steering box and the piman arm pivot but do not interfere with operation of the vehicle and steering. If your rack and pinion setup fits within the confines of where the center link, tie rods, etc. fit with a stock setup you should be fine with either since the steering box is the big obstacle.
