Yes it can / should be hard wired into the car. It does not draw anymore then memory in a radio or ECM or FI set up. And it has battery back up if the battery goes dead. Hey Frank no problem. Ill call you after work today and will also will need to buy the hard wiring kit for it. If you are sending everything before then, call me on my cell and get my card info for the hard wiring kit, or use the one you have on file. I bought the GPS unit last night.
