I have shown a fair amount of pics of mine and it has had tons of coverage in magazines. It has had like 30 pages or so before it was painted. i think I'm doing good on the exposure for a decently cool project.
I think it has more to do with the editors and what they want to show and where there motivation is. If you build a bad ass car they are gonna want to cover it. If you build a 69 camaro with and Ls1 and an after market clip, big brakes, blah blah blah, even if it is totally bad ass, believe it or not it has been done once or twice. But if you build something new with fresh ideas and so on they are forced to show lots of coverage, because it is fresh and new.
And sponsors like repeat exposure which is usually on fresh and new ideas.
Just my 2 cents, And just to avoid the firing squad I want to build a clipped 68 camaro with and Ls engine and big brakes.
