The concept of these country clubs are pretty cool. If I didn't race I would think strongly of joining one to get my on-track thrills.
I've been to Autobahn twice (my Avatar image is from me on the South track). It's very interesting to see the members doing laps there. I guess there is a little car-money floating around Chicago. I watched a Ford GT (on slicks) chasing a Carerra GT last summer during a race event there. Typically a race club will rent one track while members are free to use the other.

I've talked to Bruno about his planned Country Club near Minneapolis. While it will cater to the exotic car guys he will make it open for regular guys to hold meetings there. I'd hope there in enough of the high-end guys ($$) around here to make it work.
