Default cup car

I am suprised it was selected (show car winer) Don't get me wrong, the car was very straight and well done, but it reminded me of an early 90's car. Everything was painted red, rear end, suspension, bumpers, etc. Kind of like the cars Troy use to build. Stock front suspension with coil overs. He let the coil overs all of the way down to get it that low. At that ride height the headers were about an inch off of the ground. Again, I am not blasting the car as I spoke with Scott the owner for quite some time and he is a great guy. I guess that I have grown to like the cutting edge cars or things that I have not seen. I would have never thought that I would give a ZL-1 camaro 10 seconds of my time, but if you have seen one you have seen them all restored back to stock.

I guess with all of that being said you can tell I am not a numbers matching restro guy nor am I really a trailer queen show car guy...I like the cars that are built to a high level and then driven in a way that they were intended. I realize that this is not for everyone and some would not want to risk their investment...which makes this hobby appealing to a wide variety of people with varying opinions. Its your car, do with it what you will.

That is why I like this site and the whole pro-touring movement. People are building great cars with the focus on getting them out to drive.
