There are BBC plug wire kits available that are ideal for under header applications. Like in Fotoboy's application, the MSD HP500EFI kit is designed to be run under the headers and the lengths are perfect. When I ran my plug wires under the headers, I was using motor plates and kept them tight to the block using a mount off the stock motor mount bolt holes. I was using coated Casler headers and never had any problems with burnt boots.

Thanks. I will check out the MSD kit. Coated headers are definitely the way to go.
