I know he has done his research... to do a set of 321 stainless headers would cost over $2000 in materails alone. Mild steel can be done for about 1/4 of that. That makes it much more cost effective for a street show car.

Now, if you are going to flog it, and keep the headers glowing cherry red very often, stainless would be a better choice because you do not have to coat them.

His headers will look nice when coated.

I never asked? What pcm are you using? If you are using the stock PCM, when the time comes I can help you set up a tune for you to support over 1000 hp on 93 octane with your engine. Most shops seem to be pretty week on the pumpgas tunes.
