There isn't alot to compare between a kart and a full size car. But any time on a track or in some fast vehicle will help you for sure!! I've driven a shifter a couple of times and it was definetly fun , the biggest problem for me was holding on to the wheel (shattered my thump in a bike accident).You really need to take it easy when you go out in the big car , the kart will give you the alot of confidence that could get you in trouble fast!!
