sorry about my confusing post, but yes you are right on the button, there is a 68 camaro subframe under a 41 ford body.
thanks for the post 69myway, i just called pure vision here in simi valley california to see if i can make an appointment to check that stuff. i will definatley bring up everything you mentioned to see if we can get it right.

The problem you have stems back to with a worn part (tierod, drag link, pitman arm, ball joint, or wheel bearings), assuming the aligment is correct. If there is not enough CASTER the car will wonder all over the road including incorrect toe in, etc.

First go back to the basics and make sure there are no worn parts. Second, it needs to be set up and measured on an aligment rack, or right at home using strings, straight plates, and a level.
