Got a little work done on the car this weekend. First days off for the past 4 weeks. Plus the 500 was this weekend - so some party time was required. Wow, the rain really sucked though... One nice thing about race weekends here in Indy is all the race shops do an open house. It's really great to get to go through all these high-end shops and see/talk to people. Force, Pedergon, Cory Mac, Vance and Hines, Beast, Simpson, the local hot rod shops, engine builders, chassis builders, etc... open the doors and let everyone just hang out - way cool of them. Next opportunity is the Brickyard and US Nationals if anyone is in town at those times.
Cut the jack spurs off the bottom and clearance a path for the outside frame rails. Pulled some measurements and doing some basic piece part buildup stuff right now. Definitely need a weeks vacation just to stay in the garage and work through to get something accomplish - you guys are gettin way ahead now... Hope to see you and the truck in Columbus ! (and bring John and the finished Nova too !!) I'll buy you guys a beer if I can get through the crowds to you magazine superstar car builder guys
