Yes, absolutely
That is exactly what I did using a stainless tube nut for 3/16" line with a larger thread to fit the master cylinder directly.
No adapters required!
I bent my own lines, flared the ends, and installed the master cylinder with no leaks at the reservoir.
By the way, Classic Tube Company should have the wider tube nut you are looking for. I would not purchase the tube nut from their major competitor because when I did, it was junk and all galled at the seat. I threw it in the trash.
