It is threads like these that helped me chose my building and design plan. I researched, asked questions, looked at everyone's shops, etc. My biggest fear was to say "I wish I would've done _____ differently" when I was done. I spoke to a lot of people and asked what they liked and hated about their buildings, as well as what they would do differently. Just like a custom car project, make sure you build it the way you want. Don't let others sway you into doing something that won't work for you.

The other big thing is be realistic in what you are going to do in your garage. Some guys fabricate, some wrench, some just store stuff, etc.

Do you know what he single most popular response is to the question "What would you do differently?"










Build it bigger.

PS - Being the geek I am, I have pics of every step from dropping the trees (27 Oaks), digging out the stumps, the first post, the first piece of siding, etc. , all the way to filling it up with toys. If there is anything specific, just let me know.
