Since budget is a concern and it's not a max effort car, look to Mustang Steve for brackets that allow you to bolt the newer mustang brakes on. This will allow you to go to the parts store/dealer when you need replacements. Next up I would assume suspension. If budget minded, look into Open Tracker Racing for their upgraded stock parts. Lower the upper controls aka "Arning/Shelby" drop and that will greatly help with handling.
