Did you over fill your tank? I ran into the same problem yesterday after I filled the car with gas. I thought I cut fuel before hand, but managed to over fill the tank. When I turned the car off I had fuel coming out of the vent.
Went for a spirited drive until I saw the fuel gauge drop a bit. Got home no more leaks.
