No clutch for upshifts or downshift. Clutch is still used for roll out in 1st and of course reverse. All sequentials have to employ an electronic throttle blip while shifting up to take the load off the input shaft or a throttle rev for downshifts. Something around 15% of throttle input or so. But it is no lift shifting essentially.

This is the T56 Magnum or TR6060 PPG gearset sequential in a 1400hp Viper.
