Always come from the rack or box to the filter, then to cooler and back to reservoir. The filter needs to be in the low pressure side of the system. This routing keeps the cooler free of debris and if you ever fail a pump or rack, the cooler should remain protected by the filter. Lee recommends a 10 micron filter.
