Default 454 ss

What's up, been around a while just mostly lurking. I've been building this truck for the past 4 years or so with some hiccups along the way. I think I've got most of the issues lined out at this point. Motor is going in later this month.

I'm hoping to get to do some AutoX/roadcourses (I don't really know the difference) later this summer and was looking for a few pointers so I don't look like a complete fool when it get out there.

1st - is anyone in here local to Okc that has info on any events near here.

2nd - is there anything in my build that seems unsafe or a showstopper before I start (basic build listed below)

3rd - New tire setup (any recommendations on size and compound)

4th - suspension setup. Everything is semi adjustable but I don't really know where to start. It has alot of variables.

This truck was built slow and on budget, I think it will be a fun street toy but I'm not really sure how great it will do on a track.

The build is

90 454 SS Pickup

Engine is 498 CI BBC
12.7:1 Comp on E85
Estimated 675-725 at the flywheel

Trans - T56 from fbody built by tick(stg 3)

Suspension

Front- Single adjustable coilover with 450lb spring. Factory control arms with polybushings. 1 5/8" hotchkis swaybar in poly/aluminum mounts

Rear- Homebuilt adjustable 4 link on single adjustable coilovers on 150lb springs. Chassis mounted watts linkage from Fays2, boxed chassis.

Brakes

Front is factory size drilled rotor, stock caliper.
Rear is factory Eldorado rotor and caliper

Wheels are Cragar 397 steel and heavy
Front - 17x8
Nitto NT450 size 275/45r17

Rear
17 x 11.5
Toyo Proxes size 345/40R17

Will post pictures later...
