center of gravity

I've got a question, I know the concept is to get the center of gravity is low. My question is this. I'm getting ready to fabricate custom seat brackets to mount my seats, now if I were to drop those front seats, say 1 to 2 inches, would that benefit the center of gravity by getting the weight lower in the chassis?
