Thank you for posting that. I had only read about him previously. I am an even bigger fan now.

There is something about the way some of these icons spoke that just draws you in.

Clips of Carrol Shelby or Parnelli Jones are the same way.

I was told growing up that boys are to be seen and not heard and at 40 have a hard time shutting up, especially with a keyboard in front of me... but I sure would have liked hearing these guys talk into the night to pass the time around a garage or any venue.

God blessed them with a sort of conversational swagger or maybe men who have seen a lot just develop it. In any case it is an enviable quality in a legend in my opinion.
