hotrodding is definately thriving in the uk, they get very creative with parts use as with shipping across the pond and duties etc it costs 3x the amount to build a car and running it is just as tough with gas near 9 bucks a gallon!!!!

Hot Rodding is still going well despite the governments best efforts to kill it off. They keep bringing in new vehicle checks, higher road tax, more fuel tax (currently $2 a litre!!!!), higher insurance etc etc. Probably not the best time to be building a blown 502 chevy
On the up side the pound is very strong against the dollar so the parts are cheaper than ever for us right now. I find the cheapest way to get parts is to holiday in the USA, fill your suitcase with car parts and bring them back through "nothing to declare"

On a side note it looks like the british public have had enough of the gov't taxation on petrol - protests and blockades of fuel refineries are planned for saturday. Everyone is going crazy and the petrol stations are jammed full.

Never mind England - Can I come over to Canada and live in your basement?? I'll come and work at your place and sweep floors and make tea. Anything is better than here
