Default LS2 69 camaro engine swap

Yo yo,
I have spent countless hours deciding what engone to put in my 69. I bounce from SBC to BBC to twin turbo LS2 etc etc. So far I have a DSE mini tub installed, doing body work now. Sub frame powdered etc, I have a 700r4 build for 700 hp (suposedly) new moser 12 bolt (3.55). DSE arms etc.

I want to beat any new slightly mod'd zo6 viper on the strip.

How hard is it to install a LS2?
I want at least about 600 hp at the rear.

Is this too much, too little? The fastest car I have ever owned was a c5. At the time fast, but now...yawn.

I would like to keep the cost below $15k, would like to drive it to work a few times a week etc.
thought?

Wayne

Well 600 rwhp is not easy to unless you want to do large cubic inch motor or don't mind running pump gas. If you go to www.mizfitmotorsports.com you can see at the bottom we have a turnkey package that may interest you for $16,575. You can hit 550 at the tire no prob on pump gas . If 600+ rwhp is the goal we have a deal in the sponsor section going on now where we could do a 454 plus CID LSX turnkey setup but price may increase. With more cubes (454-470) and a set of ported L92's, trickflow 235's or LS7 heads 11:5:1 compression and a fairly agressive cam 600-650 rwhp is possible. Feel free to give us a call if you are interested in one of these setups 913-558-1100

Seriously, you can buy an LS7 from someone like Katech that puts out the power your looking for but, plan on spending closer to $20k.

Personally, I don't think the LSx swaps are for people with budgets under $35. You could go cheap and get it done for under $14k (LS2) but that's using junk yard motor and electronics. If you plan to go with top of the line aftermarket then plan on spending closer to $40k

JMHO.

$35-$40K for an LS2 swap? Are we talking $15K for motor only or all parts involved? If so Mizfit posted a decent price above.
