One thing to do if you haven't already is jack the clip into place with floor jacks with enough force to almost lift the back of the car. This ensures a tight fit, but I suspect you've done that already.

We have never had anyone need to trim the rails to make it fit but considering the history of these cars it wouldn't be a big surprise. In the end, the biggest deal is to make sure it's tight against the floor and checked for squareness.
Thanks for the help, I talked to Kevin at AME today and he had me on the right path by the time I was off work at noon.

I had to add some extra weight in the car to allow the Jack to do it's job.

In the end Art Morrison is on the top of list of places to shop again. Great company and a great customer service.
