at age 15 for your first motor you proally done allright . if its going in that pretty lil 55 id say enjoy what you have built and when its tired or it breaks then build for your 500 hp. you have to remember with horsepower comes responsiabiity . run what you have now you will be happy next time around if you think you want more power and bad gas mileage then build for it.

your welcome. i think for your first motor you will be happy and there is never any shame in sporting a 55 dosnet matter if it has 1500 hp or 400 its a classy ride . just remember once you start to push alot of 40 plus year old factory parts beyond 500-550 hp you start to get costly as you will need tranny upgrades converters sometimes even axles and depending on what route you go it can get real expensive . enjoy what you have built your only 15 give yourself time you have plenty of time to go fast left in you. LOL. you just wait 55 chevy is a sweet ride you will get lots of thumbs up and respect and even be the envy of quite a few people. besides they are more enjoyable when you can afford to cruise them . trust me i know. would like to see some pic,s sometime of your car

350 10:1, 180cc runners 226* 470" lift you are flirting with 375-400hp and 375-400tq not 500

for a 500hp 350 you are going to need alot more work bigger heads and a cam with .520-.600" lift at the vlv and spin the snot out of it ie 6500-7500rpm if not higher
you are looking at ~1.4hp:ci power ratio basicly boarderline streetable

383/400would be alot easier wiht a 1.2-1.3 hp:ci ratio

another idea would be put a 100-150hp shot of N20 on it for the straight aways
