Cool "Swoosh" 79 Monte Carlo Project LS1 + T56

Hi guys,

I'm new here and looked around a bit and thought I also want to show what I'm working on for so long LOL

..so here's my project-car, my 1979 Monte Carlo 305.

I bought it december 2002 and I'm still on it... I work on it everytime when I have some time and money so

current projects, rework the whole car, rebuild frame/suspension. Body will be painted something like gunmetal (dark grey)..

first steps - I cleaned a lil bit the engine and added some chrome parts..

09/17/2007:

started to unscrew all stuff between body and frame..

yummy!!

unfortunately it sits like that over 2 years now. I had to stop work on it because of money issues... but I hope I can start again soon.

Like said before, want to rebuild everything. Want a clean & smooth car - good suspension, good brakes and a nice look.
Also thinking about a manual transmission... 4 speed or a T5 would be nice but here in Germany very hard to find.

Welcome Kev. Maaan, that car brings back memories. My first car was a 1978 Monte Carlo. Bought it when I was 14. It had a 350 in it and it was a super quite running car. I drove it all through high school and until my sophomore year in college and handed it back down in the family. Good luck and keep up the good work.

something like that I want it to look like:

I really like the BOSS 338 rims:

But at the moment I don't know if 18x9.5" Backspace 5" will fit on the rear.

I also bought a 59/60 dashboard to do same like that:

also decided to get some Jag doorhandles like this..
