Default my AMT '68 Camaro..track/road/race?

Hey Guys,
I’ve been working on this one for a few months. Started out just as nothing more than a simple build using what the kit had and it has snowballed from there. What this kit has done to me is given me a newfound love for the f-body and particularly 67-68 f-bodies. Anyway I wanted to do a neat p/t car with minimal fuss—which is this

Then I saw some pics of the old trans am racers, and well I started messing around with some spares and doing this and that and I came up with this –

Then I decided I wanted something that mixed new and old, trans am, pro touring, street fighter, and rare factory prototype stuff (hey model building is all conceptual anyway right?) that’s where this came in –

Now I’ve decided that the front end isn’t what I want so I’m changing that a little, and the back end a little. Bodywork mods thus far include-
First time adding flares to the back fenders
Trying to get rid of lower side reveal(taking a while to get it just right..never will I use a dremel to remove side trim..lol)
Molded in trunk lip spoiler made from kit back bumper
Front lip spoiler shown here made from kit front bumper but has since been taken off and something else will be used
The hood, interior bucket(race style with no back seat), tail lights, and grill are all resin items from a great little company called reliable resin.
I’m also using an lt5 engine from an AMT Wagon rod ( I wanted a dohc GM motor) and it has a scratched up hilborn efi style induction set up
The interior will get a 69 dash, simply because I had a spare and its better detailed than the amt 68 dash, and a set of either c5 corvette seats or r34 skyline seats with a roll bar and harnesses.
Wheels will be the American Racing 200s style as shown in a few pics. I was thinking about the salt flat special style wheels but they look a little more like show car instead of race car to me.

The exterior color will be a medium red metallic shot over a gold or silver base, the interior might be something weird after seeing a color combo I liked on the internet on a Porsche Cayman, if not then it will likely be a mix of darks red and browns. Wheels will either be bronze or titanium colored centers wirh chrome or aluminum lips. I’ll be working on this one a while since I’m trying out some new stuff and I want it to look pretty good when done. Anyway what do you guys think? Odd huh..lol Comments and critiques are welcome.

Thanks
Gray

Way cool.... I check this section all the time. I wish more people would post their projects / art work of any kind. It's a real treat to be able to check this stuff out.

Love the old school Trans-Am look with the 200S wheels...
