Default LS7 Clutch decision/advice

Looking for advice on a clutch kit including flywheel recommendations for a mild/moderate modified LS7 in a 1st gen Camaro, 570 crank HP 530 tq. 90% street 10% road race
Is a DYAD or Manic 9000 overkill?

I have used the factory clutch set up in several cars and it works great.

Same... I'd use the stock LS7 clutch/fly.

We sell for $550 shipped with the OEM bolts if you don't have one already.

Keeping with the current theme, if you need a slight upgrade with excellent pedal look at the ZR1 clutch . Factory rated for at least 640 hp

Thanks for the input. It looks like moving to the LS9 clutch brings the price point to $1500, which is aprox what the DYAD and Mantic 9000 sell for.
Price is one thing and performance and feel another. I've experienced driving the LS7 in a '15 Z/28 and my experience was the clutch engagement point. It's too far out on the pedal stroke. Apparently Ram makes a "hydraulic bearing pedal adjuster" which from my understanding works as an accumulator to adjust pedal engagement position.
Wondering if pedal engagement is different with the LS9, DYAD or Mantic clutches
Please let me know you experiences
Thanks Dave

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the ZR1 clutch use the 8-bolt flywheel, vs. the 6-bolt for the LS7/"regular" LS? Unless you're not using the ZR1 flywheel, then forget I asked.

I've been very happy with my Monster LT1-S dual-disk clutch. Monster uses the LT1 dual disc pressure plate and discs from the LT1 engines and makes their own flywheel to mount it to the LS engines. You can have them lighten the flywheel if you like but I did not do so.

It is a very nice setup to drive, basically feels just like driving a clutch on a new car (since it's the same parts). I have about 5k miles on it now with no complaints.

It's not going to be the cheapest setup out there, but if you search around, they do have some vendors that sell at lower prices than buying from them direct. That is what I did...

I saw this in my search, it sounds like a great idea. I will research this again, [B]where does the clutch engage in the pedal stroke? low, mid, or high. Does it fit in a GM bellhousing or do you have a quicktime
[B] Thanks again, Dave

I used a quicktime, but given it's size, I'm sure it would fit in a GM bellhousing. The pressure plate is narrower than the flywheel as I recall, it's not a big clutch.

As for release point, I think that has a lot to do with hydraulics as well as the clutch. On mine, it releases / engages just below the middle of travel, which feels very correct to me. It's certainly not high, and not grabby off the floor. It feels very smooth...
