Default My year in racing…

I have been working in GM racing for just over a year now. It has been a crazy ride so far. I decided to keep all my hang tags from most events for a year. I have been to a lot of places in 2020-21.

High Lights of the year.

Dayton 24 hours
Indy 500
LeMans 24 hour
Trip to Nürburgring to drive Z06 and CT5 Blackwing
Trips to France, Italy, Germany and England
Tour of McLaren F1 shop
Trip to Ilmor engineering Indy and F1 engine builder
Trip to Dallara - chassis manufacturer
Driving road race spec NASCARs
Test driving Corvette Z06/Z06

I miss doing Pro-Touring style events, but we did do the Barrett Jackson tour in Apex and it was a blast.

So counting the BJ tour I have been to 15 states and 5 countries this year. I’m still COVID free but vaccinated.

We have a lot of cool things planned for 2022 and beyond so I’ll attempt to keep you updated.

I have been very fortunate in my life. I’m doing exactly what I dreamed about when I was in High School.

It is a little surreal.

Mark

Very cool of you Mark to allow us to see what your into. I’m certain that you don’t have much time on your hands and this shows me that you thought about this place enough, to stop by and post up. Appreciate the pics and info. What I would give to see F1 engine build shop!

I think everyone with automotive/ racing interests would have to agree you have the single greatest job on the planet! Not only do you live all these incredible experiences, but you're the head honcho/ VIP. And, you get to do so while getting paid to do so.
Who has a better gig? Nobody I can think of.

Ever feel just a bit guilty about getting paid to do what you love?

Enjoy every minute of it Mark and thanks for bringing us along...
