Default C4 brake advice please

This is the way my c4 rear baer brake set up came with the car. They are positioned at about 4:00 towards the front of the car which is aligned just below the axle housing. I've noticed everyone else's brakes are located to the rear of the car and higher than the axle. I've been dragging my feet on the car running ss brakelines for awhile now but started wondering if this set up is incorrect? They fit nicely there w/the four link but am I going to run into any issues (bleeding, emergency brakes etc.)? Keep in mind I really don't know much about brakes, just learning as I go. Oh, and no I don't want to upgrade my brakes because when or if I ever finish, the upgrade would probably be outdated as with many other items on the build. Any input would be appreciated. Back out to the garage to run my last piece across the axle into the softlines. Let me know if I need to start over

Lenie just rotate the bracket to the backside and use the rear upper/lower axle holes to mount the caliper bracket. love the surface rust btw

Thanks Luke, I'll give it a look. Will it hurt anything to leave them where there at? Yeah you could almost wipe it completely clean with a rag but I blasted it then painted.
