Default Trick-Tools Multi-Tool Grinder Attachment

I'm going to be ordering one of these from trick-tools shortly and I need a new bench grinder to go with it. They sell it with a 1/2 HP and 1 HP JET bench grinder. The reviews on the 1 HP are mixed and I'm curious if anybody here has it, and if so what you are using for a grinder? Is the 1 HP necessary or is the 1/2 HP sufficient? Both units spin the same RPM. Thanks for your thoughts.

We had a hard time finding a grinder motor(local) w/the right mounting flange for the belt sander/grinder we bought. On my 12 disc sander I have a 1hp.I started out w/ 1/2 hp and it wasnt enough.Order it w/the jet unit.

Thanks a bunch Scott. The 1 HP Jet it is. By the way, I'm a fan of your builds. You do great work.

Just step up and buy a real belt grinder... I own the Burr King 760 and it's just an amazing machine!

I bought the one you're looking at from Trick Tools for a buddy for Xmas present and he's very happy with it but I bought it with the 1 hp motor.

"-I have some tools..."

Greg: I have to say that it seems that you have ALL the tools...

Well --- as you guys know... I was just ribbing Wellis...

A good belt grinder is worth it's weight in gold... way way way handier than a stone grinder.

It's hard to change wheels on the stone grinder, and they are so freaking heavy!
