Default Happy Dyno Day with my TVS 2300

First off, I want to thank my tuner Ed Hutchings from Hi Tech Tuning out of Chesapeake, VA. Many claim to have the best tuner, but for those in the know, Ed is one of the best by far and he proved his skills to me yet again.

Here's the setup:

Stock LS3 crate motor
LS9 cam with stock valvetrain
Magnuson TVS 2300 for a 2010 Camaro ported and fit for a Wegner 10rib front runner setup by Casey Wegner
Injector Dynamics ID 850 injectors
12 pounds of boost
C&R heat exchanger for 1969 Camaro (Ed said it was Very efficient)
Kooks 1 7/8 headers with 3" exhaust
Magnum t56
Moser 3.73 wavetrac 12 bolt rear
Ricks Vaporworks tank with Camaro ZL1 pump and regulator (pump is maxed out)

Now I originally thought it would make 8pds of boost, but I guess I got the wrong pulley, cause 12psi later we made some real steam:

643 RWHP and 568 RWTQ!

Ed gave it a really conservative tune and said the motor could take a lot more, but I was more than happy considering going in that I was going to make around 550 rwhp.

The engine idles at 750 rpm, drives perfectly and on my drive home today to Northern VA, I managed 23mpg on a 225 mile trip from a car with roughly 760hp!

I really couldn't be happier with my rather simple setup!

Matt

Thanks Trey, I agree...never thought I would have too much power, but I'll go slow getting used to it for sure. Funny thing is if you keep your foot out of it and it drives like a daily driver!

Nice!
That's what I want to do with my LS1 when I have the money. My biggest concern is trying to work out what kit to buy and how to use most of my current accessory drive. My accessories are stock 2004 GTO but with a Kwik Performance high mount A/C bracket on the passenger side.

You can make that work easily just buying a kit for the year of your GTO, but if you go over 10psi of boost, you might start getting belt slip. I will be the first to admit that the only reason I went with the Wegner setup is cause is looked so cool (pricey but cool)!

Lots of options to set up a Maggie. I bought mine used from a guy on Camaro 5 and saved a couple grand. You could try the same with the GTO forum. I had to send mine to Wegner to get it configured for their kit, and while it was there they ported it for me. Casey said it was worth about 25 hp.

Sorry, I should have been a bit more clear. My "GTO LS1" is in my '69 Camaro. So I'd be looking at something similar to your setup possibly.

The stock GTO accessory drive had the low mount AC. Right now, all my accessories are on one belt. I don't think I would want to go over 10psi in my application anyway.

If I go for a "kit" I'd like to figure out what the closest thing to what I have would end up being. The biggest issue being accessories of course. I'd like stuff to fit without having to add a whole new accessory drive to the price of the supercharger.
